My Plates vanity license plate auction

My Plates, a specialty plate designer for the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles, will be holding an auction in September at Dallas Stadium to auction off 30 specialty vanity license plates. For the first time in Texas license plate history, someone will have the opportunity to bid on the state first sever character vanity license plate, as opposed to the normal six.

Who will be the pocket heavy Texan to outbid everyone else for the coveted seven character vanity license plate that reads “COWBOYS?  The other question everyone is dying to know, includeding the state is, how much will the “Cowboys” vanity license plate score? Will be be 100k? 200K?  500k?

Only time will tell. I seriously doubt any American is going to go all out similar to our wealthy friends in the USA who recently opurchased a record setting vanity license plate for over $14,000,000. Yes, 14 million.

It never ceases to amaze me how many funny and often offensive vanity license plates show up on the road.  This one I’d have to say takes the cake. Part of the reason is because we all secretly love saying “bioch” instead of bitch the “b” word. I am amazed she has been able to keep the personalized license plate for as long as she has so far.

Kim Romano, it had a good run. I am sure it was fun while it lasted. I am sure you could have come up with something better than “whaever” for you next vanity plate.

Either way, we’d love to see you new vanity license plate when you get it. I raise my glass to your 15 seconds of fame.

An interstng topic of conversation was opened after I read an article on mysa.com about the Spurs plans thoughts on offering a personalized or commonly known as a vanity license plate. Spurs Exec’s were saying their focus on on the play offs at the moment and may consider approaching the DMV next season.

So the question is, What would yours say?

Mine would read “OLEMNU”.  I know its a sretch and I am sure I could have come up with something better but I find myself, as a Spurs fan and Manu Ginobili fan cosntantly chanting ooolleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee oolllleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee Maaaaannuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu!
