Demarco DeLeon
MJ Fan Demarco DeLeon isn’t alone remember and reflecting the life of global super mega star Michael Jackson. It was one year today in which MJ nearly broke the internet and shut down twitter with the news of the hospitalization and later the announment of the death of Michael Jackson.
We watched him grow up. He grew up with us and our children. RIP Michael Jackson.
Where were you when Michael died? What’s your favorite MJ song?
I can’t help it- Michael Jackson

If you are anywhere remotely close to a TV, internet connection, teenager or even a smoke signal, I am sure that you have heard about the recent celebrity stalking turned suicide. In case you have been golfing on the moon, its has recently been reported that Paula Goodspeed (no pun intended, that is her name) was found dead in front of American Idol judge, Paula Abdul’s Sherman Oaks home. Her cause of death is presumed to be from a drug overdose but this has not been confirm yet until toxicology tests are completed.
Thanks to bittenandbound.com, a blog quoted as “the not so pretty side of Hollywood” for providing a photo and video of Paula Goodspeed and her Paul Abdul vanity license plate which reads “ABL LV” presumed to mean Adbul Love.
Goodspeed auditioned for American Idol in 2005 and was self described as having a lifelong obsession with Paula Abdul. She was known to create lifesize drawings of Paula and remarked that her first drawing was of Paula Abdul.

First and foremost a big thanks to Eli from Brooklyn, NY who sent in a few really good vanity license plates. With the big election day right around the corner, there is no better time than to show you guys this Obama 08 vanity/custom license plate. For the readers that have been here before, you may recall Bill Slater and his Obama 08 vanity license plate issued out of Illinois. His democtratic vanity license plate was so popular that it got him an interview from CBS’ own Katie Couric.
Not surprising that we are seeing this custom license plate on this uber-compact turbo charged 200 hp Volkswagon GTI boasting a 21-29 mpg fuel efficiency. I think a real liberal would have opted for the 170 hp TDI model with 30-41 mpg.
I wonder if there are any republicans sporting the MCAIN08 vanity license plate anywhere?

Colorado State University social psychologist William Szlemko recently completed a study which states that owners of vehicles that are personalized with bumper stickers, window decals, license plate frames and vanity or personalized license plates are MORE likely to retaliate with road rage if you cut them off or or are slow to move after a light changes.
The study makes claim that owners of these personalized whips are marking their territory and usually have more to say which explains their need for personalization and customization. This study also says that you can expect honking, tailgating or other agressive behavior.
Azcentral.com writes “the key to this phenomenon is territoriality” and that drivers with road rage tend to take ownership of the streets they drive on as “my street.”
I had to vent a little bit on KTAR Ankarlo radio talk/news show today and stick up for my fellow personalized license plate owners. I argued the fact that people with vanity or personalized license plates are LESS likely to commit road rage or harass people on the highways and roads. My reasoning behind this is that a personalized license plate is more recognizable and traceable than a bumper sticker. For security reasons and personal protection, I feel most people with custom license plates would think twice about giving the finger or laying on the horn for 15 seconds (Will) for fear of retaliation.
So I go out to you owers of vanity license plates, does this study represent you? Are you more prone to become territorial on the road becuase your license plate reads “HOTHED” or “CALM1“? Give us your feedback in the comments and let us know if you should be categorized as a threat to the public roads because of your personalized plates.
