Rick Saunders of Glaucester, VA has had these personalized vanity licence plates that read “F.OSAMA” or over 7 years. Until Virginia DMV recently revoked and demanded the return of his personalized license plates for being “inappropriate.”
Rick Sanders told WAVY-TV that he chose the vanity plates because he is passionate about supporting the nation’s military, and doesn’t understand all the commotion.
“It can be meant as ‘Fight Osama, forget Osama,’ whatever you want it to be,” Sanders told the TV station
.
The DMV admitted to erroneously awarding his personalized license plates after the realized they violated the DMV’s guidelines for acceptable vanity plates.
The icing on the cake is they replaced his vanity plates with ones that read “6668UP” which he interprets to read ” the devil ate you up.” Virginia DMV has agreed to work with Rick Saunders and help him get some randomly generated plates that will satisfy him.
I have a feeling it’s going to be hard to satisfy a patriotic military loving man after taking away his “F.OSAMA” vanity license plates after 7 years.
License plate readers are being stalled on I-19 on the border in Souther Arizona by the DEA as a tool to “catch smugglers.” We all know that Arizona is a major gateway for drug smugglers. Some local residents are quoted as “being all for it” if it stops the smugglers. While others like Peggy Cass feel differently.
“It’s one thing if you’re in violation of something and the police pull you over but it’s another thing to record your license plate,” said Peg Cass.
Tucson resident Peg Cass called the readers a violation of privacy. She does not want her information recorded as she drives, “It’s just one more way of big brother looking at you, you know. Your medical records aren’t private anymore, nothing’s private anymore.”

The press release reads that a portion of the proceeds will benefits the Professional Sports Team Educational Fund, which in fact helps supports Illinois public schools.

I really didn’t know where I stood in reference to my thoughts about Kris Jenner’s adoration of her Los Angeles Lakers son-in-law Lamar Odom. My initial thoughts are to just flat out hate on it but I really cant hate on a Bentley with vanity license plates. No matter what it’s plate read. I just cant do it.
You see, I can’t stand the Lakers. The show gets on my nerves (my wife watches it). And did I mention I really can’t stand the Lakers?
So I spent 30 minutes trying to figure out how I can throw in a “Lamar Kadashian” joke as the L and K in”LKRMAMA”. Only I couldn’t find anything to stand for the R. I must be getting rusty.
Someone out there help me put this together?

Vanity License Plates, just another revenue stream for help the State of Colorado’s budget crunch. House Bill 1216 will create this special group to do market research and find “historic” or nostalgic vanity license plates and offer them for auction.
I love how they referenced Texas and the revenue that comes into that state for vanity license plates. Only time will tell if these guys can create the market for it. BTW, read in the article that if you own a cool vanity license plate you want to sell you have to split the profit with the state. That is B.S.
